Fun Fact

My family and I love exploring local parks and trails. On weekday mornings you'll find me riding or running on the trails, on weekends you’ll often find us camping, grilling on our Blackstone, or chasing our doodle, Beau, around Benbrook Lake. A fun fact about me is that I’ve led multi-day outdoor trips, including backpacking the Napali Coast in Hawaii, Canoe-camping the Rio Grande in Big Bend and climbing Guadalupe Peak, the tallest mountain here in Texas.

Past Experience

{"skills":"My skills are rooted in putting people first. I bring the ability to listen deeply, represent neighbors’ voices in city decisions, and build consensus when opinions differ. With experience in policy review, strategic planning, and community engagement, my skillset is centered on being ‘Potter for the People’—a council member who ensures the community is always at the heart of every decision.","achievements":"I’m proud of past achievements that show how service and leadership go hand in hand. On the Parks & Recreation Board, I served the community by supporting upgrades to Dutch Branch Park and strengthening our recreational spaces. On the Zoning Board of Appeals, I led by helping guide difficult decisions that balanced new growth with preserving neighborhood character. These achievements show my readiness to serve as both a servant and a leader on City Council Place 5.","responsibility":"As a member of Benbrook’s Zoning Board of Appeals and Parks & Recreation Board, I worked to make sure residents’ voices were at the center of every decision. Whether it was reviewing zoning requests that impacted neighborhood character or supporting improvements at Dutch Branch Park, my responsibility was clear: to represent the people of Benbrook and ensure their needs guided the outcome. My past service reflects my commitment to being ‘Potter for the People’—a neighbor who listens first, then acts in the best interest of our community."}

My Top Issues

Investing in park maintenance and improvement

I believe investing in park maintenance and improvement is essential to preserving Benbrook’s character and quality of life. In particular, I want to ensure safe and meaningful access to Benbrook Lake so that families, neighbors, and visitors can enjoy one of our community’s greatest natural assets.

Thriving local businesses

I am committed to fostering a climate where local businesses can thrive, because they are the backbone of Benbrook’s economy and community life. Supporting small businesses means strengthening our neighborhoods, creating local jobs, and keeping Benbrook a vibrant place to live, work, and gather.

Attracting and retaining businesses

I am committed to attracting and retaining businesses that strengthen Benbrook’s local economy. By supporting a business-friendly environment and investing in community amenities, we can create jobs, keep dollars local, and ensure our city thrives for years to come.

Economy

Attracting businesses that keep our economy thriving.

Infrastructure / Transportation

I will advocate for investment in aging areas that need infrastructure and support, while helping newer neighborhoods feel connected and welcomed. Strong neighborhoods are the heart of Benbrook, and they deserve a strong voice at City Hall.
