My Top Issues
Increasing affordable housing options
St. Louis Park needs to increase the diversity in our housing stock to create more mid-tier home options while providing support for residents who face the highest burden to entering home ownership.
Addressing aging infrastructure in residential areas
St. Louis Park will need to replace many aging infrastructure elements that are nearing their end of life, which I think is the perfect opportunity to reevaluate how our streets and sidewalks are designed to support movement of residents between neighborhoods and to common points of interest. We should prioritize safe and accessible transportation options that reduce the need for single-driver cars
Streamlining business licensing and permitting
Let's make it easier and more attractive for businesses to open and move to St. Louis Park. Streamlining some of the processes can make us a hub for entrepreneurship.
Who I'm Running Against
Sarah Steffen (Democrat Party)
Sarah is a progressive candidate who has been active in the local political scene but is not plugged into anything in the local community. She advocates for public health and safety, raising the minimum wage, and starting a farmer's market in St. Louis Park.
