Fun Fact
I am a huge baseball fan! I love the sport and think it is the best sport around! The unique challenges that come with baseball (think about it, the statistics of being able to hit a small ball, with a thinner bat, within a slice of pie shaped area and NOT have someone out of 9 players get the ball before you get to the base, some 200yds away is MIND BLOWING) it is FAR from a boring game. It is so intricate and watching all 9 players work as one hive mind is simply fascinating.
Past Experience
{"skills":"I have taught for nearly ten years, I have a child that is pre- public school age and I want to work to create a school district I would be proud and confident to send my own child to. I have multiple technological skills as well as organizations and communication skills.","achievements":"I co-founded a sub group of the association for New Teachers to ensure they understood their rights and understood the processes around evaluation, hiring, and non-renewal. ","responsibility":"I have taught within District D for 3 years while serving student council, girls on the run, sunshine committee, and various other leadership positions within the school itself and at the district level."}
My Top Issues
Invest in local public education
I believe a well funded local public education is the key to community success. The more we responsibly invest into our education system, the stronger the community becomes.
Implementing sound financial management practices to maintain balanced budgets
I believe there is room for everything- it might not be exactly what someone wants or needs, but there's always a common ground that can be met. Sacrifices can be made on both "sides" of an issue and my goal would be to seek understanding from both "sides" to establish a common ground and maintain balance.
Fostering a sense of community and social cohesion based on shared conservative principles
Again, there is no one size fits all- each person, entity, group, community has its own wants, needs, and values- 6 and 9 are different numerals, but depending on your perspective, they can look the same. It's important to foster cohesion and community to ensure all basic needs are met and values are still upheld.
Who I'm Running Against
Will Jones (Republican Party)
Will is, as I understand, a football coach who runs his campaign around parental rights and general conservative issues. He doesn't seem to speak up much, from my experiences with him.
