My Top Issues
Promoting inclusivity and diverse representation in decision-making processes
The point of any elected position is to represent, not rule. That is hard to do if the people you are supposed to represent don't have access to the system or a way to voice their concerns.
Increasing affordable housing options
Housing is growing more and more unaffordable and inaccessible every day. We need to increase options, availability, and step in to protect our citizens from market fixing and rent gouging. We also need better safety nets to prevent people from losing the housing that they have and to be able to afford to maintain their housing.
Ranked Choice Voting
The only way to TRUE representation of the public opinion and getting officials that reflect the public opinion is through ranked choice voting. This way candidates don't have to pander to one of the two partys of power, they can run and win based off of their positions and performance. People are also able to vote for their TRUE first choice and still have the "lessor evil" vote in case their preferred candidate doesn't win. This increases the likelihood of evening the field while also forcing even the most entrenched candidate to have to act more in line with the voice of their constituents.
