My Top Issues

Rent controlled units

I'm a strong advocate against landlords raising rent, double what it was. I believe in low income and affordable housing. A mixed neighborhood of both

Supporting programs to address youth violence

Youth Violence and Drug overdose is a big problem in my District. I would have a forum to communicate with young people in gangs. Young people being bullied. I would love to start a mentor/leadership program

Housing and community centers

I am a firm believer that our seniors should not have to choose between eating, medicine and paying rent. They have paid into the system and our communities. After working for so many hours, raising kids and grandkids, paving a pathway for others. They should be able to enjoy their senior years
