My Top Issues

Implementing sound financial management practices to maintain balanced budgets

It is important to maintain a fiscal conservative budget so we are able to maintain our AAA bond rating and continue to provide the best services to our residents at lowest cost

Attracting and retaining businesses

As a small business owner and chamber member. I know the importance of having relationship with our business community. Without a succesful business community, the schools and city arent successful.

Supporting tourism initiatives and visitor services

Pelham is home to Alabama's largest state park. This natural resource brings several visitors a year to our city. We have to continue to support efforts to bring events to Oak Mountain State Park and Pelham

Education

Making sure our education system is the absolute best it can be. I will continue to work with our school board, school administration and parents to achieve this success and open a new high school.

Taxes / Budget

It will be important to work with the council and city manager to maintain a fiscally responsible budget while providing excellent services and preserving our AAA bond rating.

Economy

Economic development remains a high priority. I will continue to work with our Commercial Development Authority to ensure they have the resources needed to bring more business to Pelham and help keep our small business community healthy.

Arts / Culture

I will continue to support events that bring the community together like Taste of Pelham, PelhamPalooza, Christmas Parade and Tree lighting, and a host of other events. I have had the opportunity to champion our city national and it's an honor I don't take lightly.

Criminal Justice / Public Safety

I will continue to advocate for our First Responders and city employees to ensure we hire the best to keep Pelham safe! I'm proud of our talented staff and their commitment to customer service!
